Narrative Description of Project:

1- Taanayel – Masnah Section of the Arab Highway is about 15 km long. It is to be built to motorway standards, a multi-lane divided roadway with access control, including 2 interchanges.

2- Tripoli West Ring Road is an urban extension of the coastal highway, about 5 km long. It was designed as a multi-lane divided facility with service roads, with grade separated crossings, and a bridge over Nahr Abu-Ali.

Description of Actual Services Provided:


Economic feasibility studies were performed in accordance with international standard practice.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) were performed for both roads, to provide a sound basis for decision-making about the design of the project that takes environmental considerations into account, producing an environmental management plan. Field-based archaeological surveys were conducted to define potential impacts of the proposed roads on such areas.
