TEAM International has signed the “Citizen Enterprise” agreement with OMSAR, and part of this agreement was to prepare and deliver specialized conferences to improve the quality of the services in the Public Sector in Lebanon. The following activities were carried out under this agreement:

TEAM International has conceived and developed a first workshop addressed to Civil Servants in different Ministries and Public Agencies (Categories I and II) in Lebanon in August 28th 2002, under the main Theme of “Quality of Services in the Public Sector” in which some 180 Civil Servants in Lebanon have participated, and came out with important recommendations and suggestions, among them defining the specifications of quality of services and excellence in delivering these services in the pubic sector, and spreading this culture among all civil servants, at all levels of the Public Administration.

The second workshop under the same theme was held in March 20th 2003, and was addressed to Civil Servants of Categories II and III, where some 400 civil servants have participated.

Among the main speakers of these two workshops were the related ministers, and a number of specialized experts and consultants who focused on the role and importance of the quality culture and systems on customer focus, improving the quality of services delivered in the Public Sector, and the role of Human Resources in achieving excellence in quality of services through awareness and implementation of the quality culture.

Besides a 5 days seminar / workshop on “Modern School Management and Educational Supervision” was addressed to all the Vocational and Technical Public schools Managers in Lebanon during the period from September 9th through 13th 2002.

In addition, one day workshops on “Preparing and Presenting Scientific Research” was addressed to the Researchers and Managers of the Scientific Research Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture, on November 13th 2002.

Also a number of public servants participated in several public seminars and workshops delivered by TEAM International during the year 2002 and until end of June 2003.

 

The key activities described above included:

 –  Design and management of two conferences on Quality Management in the Public Sector.

–  Modern School Management and Educational Supervision Seminar / Workshop.

– Preparing and delivering a Workshop on Scientific Research.
