Description of Actual Services Provided by Our Staff:
This project is concerned with the design of all systems and ancillary facilities associated with the O & M of Rabat – Tanger toll freeway. The scope of work included the definition of system type (open or closed system), the positioning of toll gates and plazas, the number of toll lanes to equip, the manner of toll collection, organization of the O & M function, the number and qualifications of needed personnel, the number and location of administrative buildings and surveillance facilities, the emergency telephone system and the rest and service areas.
The overall configuration of the system consisted of two toll plazas and nine controlled interchanges comprising 50 toll lanes and some 20 rest and service areas.
The design work included producing all the tender documents for the system, comprising drawings, specifications and bills of quantities for all the components: toll plazas, toll gates, canopies, collection facilities, electronic control, computer hardware, detection and classification systems, area flood lighting, utilities tunnels, water supply and drainage, maintenance facilities, administration buildings, equipment garages, toll surveillance centers, rest areas, and service areas.
