Narrative Description of Project:
The works include rehabilitation of 28 km of highway including:
– pavement milling of 495,000 sqm
– bituminous wearing course, 6 cm, 30,000 cu.m
– concrete edge barrier, 7 km
– pavement marking 20,000 sq.m
– traffic signs 100
– raised pavement markers (cat eyes) 5,000
– spot improvement of some overpasses and underpasses including elongation of Aaraya underpass
– a 6m high retaining wall with tie-back anchors, in an area of soil instability.
Approx. value of works is USD 3.6 million.
Description of Actual Services Provided:
The project is a fast-track job that must be completed in 40 days. Our supervision staff worked around the clock to control the performance of contractors as to quality, time, and cost.
More specifically:
– Work schedule approval and updating
– Hour-by-hour supervision of all works
– Quality assurance and checking conformance to specifications
– Quantities calculations and preparation of payment certificates
– Preparation of daily, monthly, and final reports to CDR and donor
– Snag listing and assistance during reception of works.
