Narrative Description of Project:
Qasr Al Hokm area, the historic center of Riyadh, has been redeveloped as the site of prestigious government, civic, and commercial buildings. This redevelopment required a review of the traffic and parking conditions in the Riyadh City Center. This study concentrated on assessing the impact of this development and proposed improvements in the network and parking facilities to meet future demands.
The study included:
– Detailed field surveys of land use, traffic, and parking.
– Forecast of future traffic and parking demand.
– Proposals for network revisions, additional right-of-way, flow directions.
– Proposals for additional parking locations.
– Proposals for traffic management measures.
